Last update: april 9 2002. I visited the InterNetworking Event Amsterdam on April 3 2002. On this page I will give a brief impression of the event. The InterNetworking Event is "An inspiring overview of today's ICT-solutions and tomorrow's opportunities" according to the official information of the organization. It's organized for the 12th time this year. There are six theme zones:
Next year a new zone will be added: Wireless & Telecom. Linux solutions were not present at a large scale, two booths dedicated to Linux and Linux support available at some others. You can click on the pictures below to enlarge them. The web site of the event can be found at http://www.tine.nl. The total number of visitors to the event was 23.086. Next year it will take place april 16 to april 18. For me personally I have met some old friends which is always nice, and exchanged some business cards with interesting looking companies. I had expected more from the event, but heard that 150 exhibitors decided not to attent the event. Because of the current state of the economy, the give aways were very limited. Linux is becoming mainstream, it was not given special attention on most booths. Kind regards,
Aschwin Marsman
